Smith-Sterling Dental Laboratories is open and committed to providing laboratory services to dentists for patients in need.
Dear Doctor,
At Smith-Sterling Dental Laboratories, the wellness of your patients and success of your cases are our foremost concerns. In light of the global COVID-19 outbreak, we at Smith-Sterling wanted to take a moment to reassure you that we’re taking every precaution to ensure the safety of dental professionals, patients and our team.
So long as we can maintain the safety of all involved, we will keep our laboratory open and continue fabricating crowns, bridges and other restorative work. We’re following all requisite local and national health guidelines at both our laboratory in Costa Rica and our shipping facility in Florida, and we’re carefully monitoring all updates published by the global health officials at the World Health Organization.
At our facilities we will be expanding our existing exhaustive sanitation measures. Furthermore, any employee with the associated symptoms has been asked to remain at home in self-isolation until considered noninfectious in accordance with the guidelines set by global health professionals. Beyond that, we’re also instituting a policy to check the temperatures of each employee every morning to screen for fever prior to beginning work.
As a laboratory that truly cares about patients and dental and laboratory professionals, it is our hope that these measures protect the health of all involved. We are committed to providing services that empower dentists, even in these uncertain times. As the situation evolves, we will continue to reevaluate our measures and adopt new policies as necessary.
